Immanuel has plenty of opportunities for those who love to make music. These are some of our regular musical groups — all are welcome!
Rejoice in the Lord!
Rejoice!, Immanuel’s handbell choir, includes ringers from sixth through twelfth grade. This exciting and dedicated musical group rehearses Wednesday evenings throughout the school year and plays during worship once or twice a month. Rejoice! has also performed at nursing homes and community events, including the Dickens Christmas Festival and A Taste of Ric’s.
We Are Totally His
All Children from kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to become part of Immanuel’s Children’s Choir, ‘Totally His.’ The choir rehearses on Wednesday afternoons throughout the school year and sings during worship once or twice a month.
Come join this exciting vocal ensemble! The Chancel Choir’s musical repertoire spans a variety of musical genres and historical periods, performing anthems at the 9:00 service two or more Sundays a month. Solos or small vocal ensembles will also be planned from time to time for members of this group. The Chancel Choir rehearses weekly from September to May, on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the choir room.
Take Joy, Immanuel’s worship band, leads worship each week at the 11:15 services, and performs occasionally in the community. Take Joy performs a variety of contemporary worship music, including songs from Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, Laura Story, and Hillsong United. This group, consisting of typical rock band instrumentation, rehearses Saturday mornings from 8:00-10:30.
